Environment Group

Demands of customers for better environmental performance, combined with legislation around carbon, has been the motivation for the VTA to form an environment group. Based at the VTA, with Andrew Eastick as Chair and Ian Wright as Secretary, the group will tackle low carbon freight through a series of programs that will educate and inform members.

The first activity of the group was to conduct an environment survey to find out some base line data from the industry. The first meeting of the Environment Group will be held on 17 July 2009, commencing at 10am, and will focus on the outcomes of the VTA Environment Survey.
